Good morning start

June 5, 2009

Waking up before the alarm clock, as usual lately. Could it be the greens?

Morning drink with luke warm water (gentle for the stomach), manuka honey (calming for the stomach + antibacterial, antiviral, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antifungal properties); cinnamon (stomach); olive oil (heart, cancer); ginger (cancer, stomach); turmeric (anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, protects the liver against toxin, lowers cholesterol, cancer protective: can make cancer cells commit suicide and stop the tumour from absorbing nutrition; black pepper will increase the absorption of curmerin (in turmeric, which is popular as tea in Okinawa who used to enjoy the longest life expectancy: their rates of obesity, heart disease, osteoporosis, memory loss, menopause and breast, colon and prostate cancer rank far below the rates for these illnesses in Europe and USA).

Then it’s time for the green drink: water and Vitamineral Greens, MacaForce, Spirulina, Fruits of the Earth (all from HealthForce Nutritionals), some BoKU Superfood powder and olive oil. I like to mix all sorts of stuff together believing in positive synergy effects. Using powders is a very convenient alternative to fresh greens. I recommend the beginner to start with barley grass or wheat grass, at least once a day. Since most of us tend to eat too little greens, vegetables and fruits this is a simple way to in some extent compensate these nutritional deficiencies. As I have noticed both on myself and friends it works well for growing hair, even minor skin blemishes dissappears after a while.

It feels good giving my body high quality nutrition in the morning, also mentally, like this is the way I want to continue today, doing good things to myself. Making the day better and hopefully healthier in the future.

Your nutrition tips in this blog are valuable. I’m a trail runner too and nutrition is really what I need to improve performance and my general well being. Thanks Fredrik!
