For today’s (Sept 19) issue of Göteborgs-Posten’s weekend supplement “Två dagar” I have written a 6 page feature story about superfood. Göteborgs-Posten is the second largest morning paper in the country reaching 630 000 readers. In the story Raw Food guru David Wolfe gives his definition of superfood and refers to ancient civilizations where superfoods were used for their medical properties. Experts on nutrition give their opinions about nutritional deficiencies and oxidative stress. Raw food chef Erica Palmcrantz gives her views on common Swedish superfoods with advice on how we easily can optimize our nutrition intake. There are a few examples of superfoods: goji berries, cacao, bee pollen, spirulina, chia seeds, barley grass juice, acai berries and maca root. There is also a short piece about my superfood project for Marathon des Sables.
